Custom & Special Orders

Looking for a Fullness of Time watch in a configuration that is not currently available?

Because our watches are assembled individually in small quantities, we may be able to create a custom configuration, source components for a special order or reserve an upcoming watch through a preorder.

Every request is reviewed individually and is subject to component availability, mechanical compatibility and our current production schedule.

Types of Orders

Custom Orders

A custom order allows the customer to select from available components to create a particular watch configuration.

Available choices may include:

  • Joshua GMT, Jonah Diver, Noah Nautical model or other models depending on the parts availability.
  • Dial color
  • Bezel color or style
  • Case style
  • Hour, minute and seconds hands
  • GMT-hand color
  • Bracelet configuration
  • Other compatible finishing details

Not every component or combination will be available, and some requested combinations may not be mechanically compatible.

Special Orders

A special order is a request for a watch or component configuration that we do not currently have in inventory.

This may include sourcing components to create a configuration similar to a previously sold watch. Because many watches are individually assembled, we cannot guarantee that an earlier configuration can be duplicated exactly.

Preorders

A preorder allows a customer to reserve a defined watch that is planned or in production but is not yet ready to ship.

Preorder listings will identify:

  • The watch configuration
  • The purchase price or required deposit
  • What is included
  • The estimated shipping period
  • Any preorder-specific terms

A preorder is different from a custom order because the configuration is established by Fullness of Time Watch Company rather than selected individually by the customer.

How to Request a Custom or Special-Order Watch

Contact us at info@fullnessoftimewatches.com and include:

  • Your name
  • The model you are interested in
  • Preferred dial color
  • Preferred bezel color or style
  • Preferred hand or GMT-hand color
  • Preferred case and bracelet style
  • Any example photographs or previous listing references
  • Your desired completion date
  • Any other details you would like us to consider

Submitting a request does not create an order or guarantee that the requested components will be available.

Review and Quote

We will review your request for availability, compatibility and feasibility.

If we can accept the project, we will provide a written proposal containing:

  • The approved watch configuration
  • Included components
  • Total price
  • Required deposit
  • Estimated completion period
  • Shipping terms
  • Any special conditions

Unless otherwise stated, a custom-order quote is valid for seven calendar days. Component availability and supplier pricing can change after the quote expires.

No work will begin until the customer has approved the configuration in writing and paid the required deposit.

Configuration Approval

Please review the proposed configuration carefully before approving it.

Approval confirms that the customer accepts the selected:

  • Model
  • Dial
  • Bezel
  • Case
  • Hands
  • Bracelet
  • Colors
  • Text or other approved details
  • Quoted price
  • Estimated completion period

Photographs and digital previews are intended to communicate the general appearance of a proposed watch. Screen settings, lighting, reflections and the matte finish of a dial can affect how colors appear.

We will not knowingly substitute a materially different component without the customer’s approval.

Deposit and Payment

Unless otherwise stated in the written quote, a 50% deposit is required to begin a custom or special order.

The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.

The deposit remains refundable until Fullness of Time Watch Company provides written notice that components have been ordered or assembly has begun. After that notice, the deposit becomes nonrefundable because funds and labor have been committed specifically to the approved watch.

The remaining balance is due after completion and before shipment. We will provide final photographs and a Shopify invoice when the watch is ready.

Unless other arrangements have been approved in writing, the balance must be paid within seven calendar days after the final invoice is issued. Failure to pay may be treated as a customer cancellation, and the deposit may be retained to offset components, labor and other costs committed to the order.

If Fullness of Time Watch Company determines that the approved watch cannot be completed, all amounts paid will be refunded.

Changes After Approval

Contact us immediately if you want to change an approved configuration.

A requested change may:

  • Increase the price
  • Require another deposit
  • Extend the completion period
  • Require different components
  • Be unavailable after assembly has begun

Changes are not effective until they have been approved in writing by both the customer and Fullness of Time Watch Company.

Components already ordered or work already completed may remain chargeable even when a later change is approved.

Estimated Completion Time

The estimated completion period will be stated in the customer’s written quote or preorder listing.

Custom watch production can be affected by:

  • Component availability
  • Supplier delays
  • Movement availability
  • Assembly requirements
  • Dial finishing
  • Testing results
  • Replacement of a component that does not pass inspection

Quality and proper testing take priority over rushing a watch to completion.

If we cannot meet the stated shipping estimate, we will contact the customer with a revised estimate. The customer may accept the revised schedule or cancel the unshipped order for a full refund.

Hand-Finished Dials

Each Fullness of Time dial is hand finished using custom lettering created in-house.

Because of this handmade process:

  • Minor edging may be visible under magnification or direct lighting
  • Lettering may have subtle differences from another watch
  • Exact placement may vary slightly
  • Matte-black dials may appear gray or charcoal under bright light
  • Colors may appear different under various lighting conditions

These subtle details are part of the individual character of a hand-finished timepiece and are not considered defects when they are consistent with the approved design and final photographs.

No two hand-finished watches will be completely identical.

Intellectual Property

We cannot reproduce third-party trademarks, company logos, copyrighted artwork or other protected material without appropriate authorization.

Fullness of Time Watch Company may decline any design or customization request that is incompatible with our brand, production process or legal responsibilities.

Final Inspection and Testing

Every completed custom or special-order watch receives the same inspection and testing process as our in-stock watches.

This includes:

  • Visual inspection
  • Functional inspection
  • Timegrapher testing
  • Regulation when appropriate
  • Pressure testing to 5 ATM
  • Final review before shipment

The actual rate, amplitude, beat error and pressure-test result are recorded on the watch’s Certificate of Stewardship.

Timegrapher readings reflect performance under specific conditions at the time of final inspection and may vary with position, state of wind, temperature and normal use.

Final Photographs

When the watch is complete, we will provide final photographs before requesting the remaining balance.

The photographs allow the customer to confirm that the completed watch is consistent with the approved configuration. They are not an opportunity to redesign the watch after components have been ordered and assembly has been completed.

If the watch does not match the written configuration because of an error by Fullness of Time Watch Company, we will work with the customer to correct the issue.

Cancellations

A custom or special order may be canceled for a full refund before components have been ordered and before assembly has begun.

After Fullness of Time Watch Company provides written notice that components have been ordered or work has begun:

  • The deposit becomes nonrefundable
  • Additional completed work or specially ordered components may also be chargeable
  • Any amount paid beyond the applicable committed costs will be refunded

If we cannot complete the approved order, the customer will receive a full refund.

If an advertised or agreed shipping estimate cannot be met, the customer will be offered the choice to accept a revised shipping date or cancel the unshipped order for a full refund.

Returns

Custom and special-order watches are generally final sale once components have been ordered or assembly has begun.

They are not eligible for the standard 14-day preference return because they were assembled or sourced according to the customer’s approved selections.

Final-sale status does not limit coverage for:

  • A watch that does not match the approved written configuration
  • Damage occurring before delivery
  • An incorrect item
  • A qualifying defect covered by the 90-Day Limited Warranty
  • Other rights provided by applicable law

A standard, noncustomized preorder may qualify for the 14-Day Return & Refund Policy unless its product listing clearly states otherwise.

Warranty

Custom, special-order and preorder watches include the Fullness of Time Watch Company 90-Day Limited Warranty.

The warranty covers qualifying defects in materials, assembly or workmanship under normal use. It does not cover normal wear, accidental damage, misuse, normal mechanical timekeeping variation, improper crown operation, water exposure outside our published guidance or disclosed hand-finished characteristics.

Please review the complete 90-Day Limited Warranty and Water Resistance & Crown Care pages before ordering.

Shipping

Completed orders receive complimentary standard shipping to a U.S. address unless different terms are stated in the written quote.

Tracking information will be provided after shipment. Packages are insured and may require a signature upon delivery.

At this time, we do not offer international shipping.
